This year Robbie Williams is NOT nomineted for the NRJ music award. In the last years he was one of the most importent people on the award and was nominted in the group " best male artist". Think it's now time for Rob, to come back Wink

British pop band TAKE THAT are to be the subjects of a new film chronicling their rise to stardom.
The stars have been approached by producers convinced their tale could be a huge blockbuster.
And bandmates Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Jason Orange and Howard Donald are reportedly onboard the project.
A source tells British tabloid The People, "The boys thought it would be a great idea. It is something they have thought about doing but never got the idea off the ground. It is still supposed to be very hush-hush (secret)."
The bandmates, who reformed in 2005 without original member Robbie Williams, won't star in the movie, however. They will be involved in its casting and directing, according to the publication.
It is not yet known whether Williams will join his former pals for the project.

Can you tell us some inside gossip on some of the big names you've worked with?

"Whitney Houston was incredible. I did How Will I Know here in the UK, and I Wanna Dance with Somebody in New York. She was just such a fantastic artist. I remember watching every attention to detail even though, when you're making a video, you're working to a track she would sing and her voice was just joyful. That was in her heyday. I didn't keep in touch. When you're working with big stars they don't remain in one place. I also worked with Robbie Williams on Rock DJ. He was quite isolated and very much into himself; thoughtful. People work in different ways in videos with dancers. Some don't connect with what's around them. When I worked with Diana Ross she started off very isolated from the dancers. But we were working outdoors at 2am in the morning and it was freezing cold, and suddenly she sort of bonded with all the dancers – it is quite extraordinary after spending all day keeping herself to herself! But Elton John, for example, always connects with the dancers, always."

Who is the Robbie Williams of the small screen?
Posted by Paul Wad on 5 January 2009 - 2:22pm.

We all know about how certain UK pop stars don't "break" America. Cliff's probably the best example, along with Robbie Williams and I'd guess that Shakey hasn't had as many top ten hits in the States as he has had over here. But this got me thinking about actors.

The UK has provided countless stars to Hollywood, from Chaplin and Laurel, through Niven, Grant, Caine, Connery, right up to modern stars like Hugh Laurie and James McEvoy. Heck, even our best character actors like Timothy Spall and Bill Nighy have carved out an impressive Hollywood cv.

I realise that it's a different kettle of fish for actors, who are probably happier doing stage and TV work in the UK, but who are our actors who would be largely unrecognised in La-La-Land? And I'm not just talking comedians, who may have trouble crossing the cultural divide. Or soap stars, who tend to be a bit, er, rubbish.

The ones I'm thinking of are John Thaw, Ronnie Barker, Martin Shaw, Trevor Eve, David Jason, David Tennant and John Simm (unless Dr Who is more popular over there than I realise).

Which of our other much-loved (to use newspaper speak) TV stars wouldn't have to wear a disguise walking down Broadway? Or are you about to tell me that Home To Roost and The Professionals are our most popular exports?

“I sense that Danielle will be asked to appear in Playboy in August. This is going to be a risk but she will take it.

“I also see Danielle doing quite a bit of charity work. She will be asked to go on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and will team up with another celebrity model. They will do well and get £50,000 for their charity.

“I see Danielle buying property abroad – LA comes to mind – and she will spend some time there where she will hook up with Robbie Williams.

“But they will just be friends.”

Pete tunes in to Planet Robbie

*
*

12/01/2009

Looks like UFO obsessive Robbie Williams may have recruited his very own space cadet - Peter Andre.

Robbie, 34, who regularly goes hunting UFOs, will be joined on his expeditions when Pete and wife Katie Price move to LA this week to film a US version of their ITV2 reality show.

Pete, fascinated by the Mysterious phenomena since he was a kid, tells us: "Robbie's a great guy. We've already been texting about meeting up. I'm going to look for aliens and UFOs with him. I'm obsessed about them and gutted I've not seen one yet." But the spookily similar interests don't end there. Pete said: "Then afterwards we're gonna play backgammon. He's a big fan, but I'm gonna teach him a thing or two." Be afraid Robbie.

Very afraid.

Robbie Williams to return to UK?

After 5 years in the States, singer wants to move back to Britain

Monday, 12 January 2009

Robbie Williams has been seriously mulling over what the future holds for him.

His dilemma is whether to continue chasing his American dream or come back home to Britain for a reunion with Take That.

Robbie dashed back to the UK from his home in LA to be with his mum Jan, 67, when she went into hospital for heart bypass surgery on 19 December.

‘Rob’s devastated,’ a friend tells Now. ‘Jan’s everything to him. She’s the person who’ll always stand by him.’

But Robbie, 34, is finding himself torn between two women – Jan and actress girlfriend Ayda Field.

He and Ayda, 29, have been dating for 18 months and had talked about spending more time at Robbie’s £7 million home in Compton Bassett, Wiltshire. But just before Christmas Ayda apparently said it would be hard for her to join him.

‘She says she can’t leave Hollywood if she’s to succeed in her acting career,’ says a source. ‘It’s a blow for Rob.’

Robbie had been due to fly to the UK to spend a day between Christmas and New Year at the home of former bandmate Gary Barlow. The pair, who had a bitter falling out when Robbie left Take That in 1995, have become so close over recent months.

Robbie’s often hinted that he might want to return to Britain. Recently he said about his stay in LA: ‘I had to go away; how could anybody miss you when you’re always there?’

Jennifer is not the only star to have been haunted by ghosts recently. Earlier this week, Robbie Williams revealed he sees ghost dogs. The pop heartthrob - who recently confessed he believes aliens are about to invade the Earth - claims he sees spirits of dead pooches on a regular basis.

He confessed: "I've seen ghost dogs, loads of them."

Take That's Robbie motivator

2009-01-16 12:38:02 - Robbie Williams was "instrumental" in Take That's 2005 reunion, Mark Owen has revealed.

Robbie Williams was "instrumental" in getting Take That back together. Mark Owen has revealed Robbie - the only member of the original line up not to rejoin the group - was a major catalyst in the group reuniting after he convinced Jason Orange to agree to the comeback. Mark, 36, said: "Robbie was instrumental in getting us back together. Jason was unsure about whether it was the right thing and was able to have a couple of conversations with Rob. "Rob said, 'Go for it mate.' If he had said, 'Don't do it,' I don't think Jason would have." Meanwhile, the band - which also includes Howard Donald - has been celebrating this week after member Gary Barlow, 37, became a father for the third time. The singer's wife, Dawn, gave birth to healthy baby girl Daisy at a London hospital on Wednesday (14.01.09). The couple already have two children, Daniel, eight, and Emily, six. When Jo went into labour Gary was with the band filming a video for forthcoming single 'Up All Night'. He reportedly arrived at the hospital with a gift-wrapped pack of nappies- an impromptu present from his bandmates.

@ MidemNet: Robbie Williams’ Manager Attacks Govt On P2P Regulation

Robbie Williams’ manager has accused the UK government of “wimping out” in the fight against illegal P2P downloading. ie:music MD Tim Clark told the MidemNet music industry conference in Cannes: “In France, Sarkozy is doing something about it. In the UK, as you’d expect, our government is completely wimping out. They’re trying to avoid any responsibility in this space.

“They insisted that ISPs sent out letters to their subscribers saying ‘don’t download, it’s naughty and if you continue you’ll be spanked’. We gather what (actually) happened was encryption (masking illegal downloads) went up by 10 percent. I’m told if encryption continues to rise then the game really is over for recorded music and getting paid for it.”

Clark isn’t strictly accurate. The government’s BERR department bashed the heads of labels and ISPs together last year under threat of legislation, leading to an agreement under which ISPs sent warning letters to thousands of alleged lawbreakers. Now BERR and the DCMS are ready to consider the recommendations of Stephen Carter’s upcoming Digital Britain report, which, FT.com says, will call for a new agency to manage permanent collaboration between ISPs and labels on data sharing and letter sending. France’s national assembly is due to vote on a senate bill that would go further, disconnecting customers after three warnings.

Clark’s view is also contrary. On two consecutive days at MidemNet, UK Music CEO Fergal Sharkey and Internet Service Providers Alliance secretary general Nicholas Lansman urged government not to regulate the space but to leave them to self-regulate.

Clark had some other wacky ideas, demanding a way to monetise mere mouse clicks and admitting to a failed social media strategy for the ex Take That star…
—“Imagine how many clicks Robbie Williams gets on all sorts of sites - lets have a cent or two for that, just to start; we’ve got to find ways of getting value back in to recorded music.”
—“We did a blog from Robbie Williams which actually wasn’t written by him - it was spotted immediately! So we never did it again.”

Robbie Williams' Take That movie

Monday, 19 January 2009

Robbie Williams is to reunite with Take That for a movie.

The singer, who is currently living in Los Angeles, has been discussing plans for a biopic about the British group with former bandmate Gary Barlow.

A friend of the singer's said: "Robbie spends most of his time these days playing soccer or relaxing in his Los Angeles mansion. It takes a lot to get him excited, but the thought of having his years in Take That made into a movie has done just that. The thought of seeing himself on the big screen obviously appeals to him.
"

However, it has been claimed the movie may only focus on the band's 2005 comeback, which took place without Robbie.

Gary, Mark Owen, Howard Donald and Jason Orange have enjoyed chart success since they reformed, prompting rumours Robbie is keen to rejoin.

Expectations for Robbie's reunion with Take That were riding high last month after band member Gary Barlow revealed he has talked the 34-year-old 'Angels' singer into moving back to the UK.

POTTY pop legend Robbie Williams is to rejoin Take That ... but only on the big screen.

We can reveal he and former bandmate Gary Barlow want to make a biopic about the band.

And now the reclusive Robster is set to be tempted back into the public eye.

When alien-obsessed Robbie, 34, met Gary, 37, in LA last month it sparked a flood of misguided rumours about him rejoining the reformed band.

But rather than get him Back For Good, they instead discussed putting Robbie’s days as “the Fat Dancer” on film.

A pal of The Robster said: “Robbie spends most of his time these days playing football or relaxing in his LA mansion.

“It takes a lot to get him excited, but the thought of having his years in Take That made into a movie has done just that.

“The thought of seeing himself on the big screen obviously appeals to his ego.”

There might still be a spanner in the works, as film bosses want the flick to centre just on the 2005 reunion of Howard, Mark, Gary and Jason.

Perhaps Robbie could wangle a Hollywood-style ending, featuring a troupe of aliens and some spacecraft.

Queen's Theatre needs attention – especially from Robbie Williams

Monday, January 19, 2009, 09:20

SHOW LOVE FOR QUEEN'S: I sit and write this letter having just completed my 6pm panto at The Queen's Theatre in Burslem – something I enjoy doing, and the audiences are getting better each year.

I look around the theatre and Steve has done a tremendous job of renovating it, but there is still a lot to do, and it's a shame how he gets no help from anybody.

I constantly read in The Sentinel how much money is thrown at other theatres in the Cultural Quarter, yet nothing is done in helping to finish this beautiful theatre in what's supposed to be the Mother Town! A place where Robbie Williams spent a lot of time before his Take That days.

What I find hard to believe is that, despite being a patron saint of Burslem, he has never been near the place, yet can visit The Leopard pub across the road because it has ghosts! Well, if you read this, Robbie in LA, come and visit us at Queen's. I've had many a chat with loads of ghosts in there, especially in the backroom toilets. Give the theatre some well needed publicity and get some recognition – something that the powers-that-be and even The Sentinel don't give the place! Then maybe I can stop wearing a dress every Christmas!

Robbie Williams is apparently planning to return to the UK within weeks.

The British pop star, who is currently based Stateside, told a friend he's ready to get home and get back to his music, according to Closer magazine.

The 34-year-old Angels singer is said to have told a pal: "It's time for me to return to the UK and get myself back on the comeback trail. I've missed England."
Robbie has been in the US for some time although he returned last year to be at his mum's side when she went into hospital for surgery, and this is said to be a factor in his decision to come home.

He also hopes to crack the charts again and is rumoured to have just finished his new album - his first since 2006's Rudebox, which was met with mixed reviews.

Robbie's actress girlfriend Ayda Field is said to be planning to follow him back to Blighty. A source told Closer: "Ayda's a huge part of Robbie's life now. And she will go with him. He's finally considering marriage and settling down."

The full interview can be seen in Closer magazine, on sale on Tuesday.

Rapper 50 CENT is planning to team up with British singer ROBBIE WILLIAMS on a new record.
The In Da Club star was hoping to hook up with Angels hitmaker Williams to record a track for his 2007 album Curtis.
Williams' stint in rehab hindered their plans - but 50 Cent hopes they will be able to sort out some recording time together in the near future.
He tells Reuters, "We actually attempted to do it during the Curtis album and I reached out to him and we talked about recording in Los Angeles and then the next time I spoke to him he was on his way to rehab so that didn't happen then.
“Hopefully on one of my projects in the future we will have a chance to work with each other.

TAKE THAT have confessed their guilt at failing to notice the warning signs as the wheels fell off ROBBIE WILLIAMS’ life.

But they are ready to make it up to their troubled former bandmate — and have repeated their plea for Robbie to rejoin them.

GARY BARLOW has admitted there was “a series of events we should have spotted” as Robbie went off the rails before quitting the band in 1995.

He added: “That’s my one regret. I missed the signs. I think we all did.”

And the lads have given their frankest ever account of the depths Robbie plunged to as he launched into a battle with booze and drugs that would end in rehab and exile in Los Angeles.
Addictive

HOWARD DONALD revealed: “I spoke to Rob about it last summer. I said I was sorry I never took the time to notice he was drinking a bottle of vodka a day.

“We smoked weed and giggled like idiots. Before Take That I dabbled with drugs, watching Sasha DJ in Ashton-under-Lyne. LSD mainly.

I feel quite proud now I don’t take drugs and hardly drink.

“But Robbie was different. He has a more addictive personality, maybe, and he was unhappy.”

MARK OWEN chipped in: “Sometimes we’d joke and say we wanted to be in OASIS. But he actually did want to be in Oasis. I feel a bit guilty now that I wasn’t mature enough to hear his cries.”

Gary added: “Rob would go to Dublin or somewhere and get off his head. Then he’d come home and say: ‘I haven’t slept for two days.’

“He didn’t want to go home and face his mum so he’d come to me first.

He’s one of us still, so I feel sorry for him and my natural instinct is to help him. His life could be better.”

As revealed in The Sun last year, the band are now ready to welcome Robbie back.

Mark wanted him to sing on Happy Ending, a track planned for current album The Circus, but the others rejected the idea of including the song on the CD.

However Jason said: “The Happy Ending track was a good opportunity.

“Let’s get him back as quickly as possible.”

Howard reckons Robbie will reunite with the band, saying: “I think it will happen one day.”

And even Gary — Robbie’s biggest rival over the years — is warming to the idea. However not just for a gig on this year’s tour, but to be totally involved.

He said: “I don’t think the way for him to come back would be the stage shows. If I wanted Rob to do something again it would be on a creative level.”

And I’m sure they would all keep a better eye on him this time.

#

JAMES CORDEN hopes Robbie doesn’t rejoin Take That — because he wants to.

The Brit Awards host confessed he has been a huge fan since he was a lad and would love to sing with them.

They're the biggest man band on the planet with 11 No.1 singles to their name, but now Take That have lifted the lid on another side of their success story, their top hits between the sheets.

In their most telling interview to-date, family man Gary Barlow insists it was he who was the the group's champion puller in their early days.

'In Amsterdam I slept with a fan. A chubby Dutch girl. And carried on from there,' shocks Barlow.
The dad of three, tells Q magazine he shed his Mr Sensible attitude in 1992 and racked up the bed notches.

'On a scale of one to 10 I did alright. I didn't go out looking for it every night. It lands on your doorstep. Every time we went away for two or three weeks I'd have a little run of relationships on the way.'
'I remember throwing lots of condoms out to assembly at schools. I felt a bit stupid, to be honest. One minute we're rubbing jelly all over our arses and the next we're telling teenagers not to have sex', says Donald.

Meanwhile, Gary, 38, reveals the band still feel pained over recluse Robbie Williams, despite mending some bridges last year. He now blames himself for being 'domineering'.

'I feel quite sorry for him and my natural instinct is to help him. But even after 10 years he's one of us still. He longs to be one of us still, so I feel sorry for him. His life, could be better I think', says Barlow.

'All this UFO stuff is a laugh with the press. He's like that. You are always on the butt-end of his sense of humour.'

Barlow remains suspect on how Williams will make his much hyped return with the band on stage some day soon. 'Out of a UFO with a big beard? I don't think it will happen' he jokes.

Meanwhile Take That remain wary of the manufactured pop acts on the scene.

'Half the singers off The X Factor are better than us' says Orange.

'If Simon (Cowell) could give his acts the story we have, then he'd have the ultimate pop act', admits Barlow.

Meanwhile Howard Donald says he now feels like 'a c**k' after contemplating killing himself in the river Thames after Barlow became successful as a solo star.

He stopped his tragic plan after thinking: 'Don't be such a d**k'

'Knowing me I'll end up in the middle of the river and the tide will go out and I'll be in the papers stuck in the Thames mud looking like a c**k.'

Meanwhile, Gary admits Victoria Beckham turned down his offer to work with her, saying she then had 'a pop at me in the Spiceworld movie... but I was the easiest target imaginable.'

Read the full interview in Q magazine, out Monday.

Gary Barlow regrets not supporting Robbie Williams

Gary Barlow has spoken about his regret over failing to support Robbie Williams while he was still a member of Take That.
The manband's chief songwriter said there were a series of events in Robbie's life that the band should have spotted and believes he could have prevented the troubled singer's departure from the band in 1995.

Barlow told The Sun: "That's my one regret. I missed the signs. I think we all did."

He added: "Rob would go to Dublin or somewhere and get off his head. Then he'd come home and say: 'I haven't slept for two days.'

"He didn't want to go home and face his mum, so he’d come to me first. He's one of us still, so I feel sorry for him and my natural instinct is to help him. His life could be better."

While not ruling out the possibility of a future reunion, Gary also said he felt that Robbie joining the band onstage for a live performance would be an inappropriate way to start working together again.

He continued: "I don't think the way for him to come back would be the stage shows.

"If I wanted Rob to do something again it would be on a creative level."

Take That have opened their hearts about their regrets over failing to heed the warning signs about Robbie Williams' meltdown prior to his quitting the band.

In an interview for the new edition of Q on sale on Tuesday the band also shatter their squeaky clean image forever by talking about the sex and drugs they enjoyed during their first flush of fame.

Robbie quit the band in 1995 as he began to rely more heavily on drink and drugs, and started to hang around with Oasis, prior to immense fallout with the Gallagher brothers.

Now in an extensive Q interview, the band’s Gary Barlow has admitted the band should have kept more of an eye on Robbie’s descent, which he called “ a series of events that we should have spotted”.

He added: “That’s my one regret. I missed the signs. I think we all did.”

Bandmate Howard Donald said: “I spoke to Rob about it last summer. I said I was sorry I never took the time to notice he was drinking a bottle of vodka a day. However the band are still holding the door open for a possible collaboration with Robbie. Williams himself spoke before Christmas about how he had patched things up with the band, but said he was busy with his own projects in the immediate future.

Take That’s Jason Orange said: “Let’s get him back as quickly as possible.” And Howard added: “I think it will happen one day.”

There had been a chance of getting Rob to contribute to a song called Happy Ending but it was eventually decided not to include it on latest album The Circus.

Barlow said: “I don’t think the way for him to come back would be the stage shows. If I wanted Rob to do something again it would be on a creative level.”

The band also talked about their early wild years in the interview for Q272, which is out on January 27. Barlow admits he began womanising after a trip to the Netherlands in 1992: “ In Amsterdam I slept with a fan, a Chubby Dutch girl, and went on from there.”

He added: “We just had a lot of fun. I don’t fell any guilt when I think about the amount of sex I had.”

And Howard claimed he took drugs with Robbie in the early days of the band: “We smoked weed and giggled like idiots. And before Take That I dabbled with drugs, watching Sasha DJ in Ashton-under-Lyne. LSD mainly.

“I feel quite proud now I don’t take drugs and hardly drink,” he concluded.

Robbie Williams is ready to deliver a new album for EMI after Guy Hands reached an accommodation with Tim Clark, the singer's manager whose comments about “plantation owner” record bosses caused a spat. “We've kissed and made up,” Clark said at Midem, the music industry's annual shindig in Cannes. “Guy is starting to understand that we are dealing with artists and the record company is there to provide the best services.” Robbie's contractual future is unclear though. “We have a 'Best of' after the new record this year,” Clark said. “Robbie is moving back to England and I imagine there will be a range of people wanting to talk to him then.”

RAP titan 50 CENT has confirmed he hopes to work with ROBBIE WILLIAMS.

The former TAKE THAT star is plotting his big comeback this year and Fiddy could be the man to help him finally break the States.

The pair were set to work on a song together before Robbie checked himself into rehab in 2007.

And 50 Cent revealed: “We attempted to do it during the Curtis album.

“We talked about recording in Los Angeles then the next time I spoke to him he was on his way to rehab.

“Hopefully we will have a chance to work with each other.”

I advise Robbie to proceed with caution.

Fiddy is, of course, a rap megastar who could introduce him to a whole new audience in the US.

But whatever you do Rob, do not rap. I repeat, do NOT rap

Robbie wrecks Take That party
ROBBIE, Robbie . . . just when we TAKE THAT fans dare to believe the Famous Five are back on, you go and blow it.

The LA hermit has gone and blasted his old team again, vowing that he’ll NEVER go back to Take That.

GOBBIE WILLIAMS (as he’s now known on the CelebXS desk) has also made sure the recent ceasefire between the two camps is well and truly over, by apparently declaring that he’ll smash TT in the charts with his solo comeback this summer.

The UFO fan told a pal: “There’s no way I’ll ever go back to Take That.

“I’ve got plans which involve me and nobody else. I’m going to beat them in the charts — I’ll sell more records than anybody else.”

Just like you did with Rudebox, huh Rob?

But at least the ladies have something to look forward to.

Turns out Robbie’s hitting the gym to tone up the flab and lose some pounds.

In his bid for physical perfection, he’s hired a personal trainer who’s told the singer to take up cycling and start hiking again.

Good idea. Take a hike!

Robbie Williams is set to ditch CDs altogether, his manager has revealed.

The singer is due to release two more albums with his record label EMI, and will then explore different ways to make his music available.

Tim Clark says, "Robbie's got a Best Of to come on his contract after releasing a new album this year. He will then look to his future. We will engage with a range of people and Robbie will have his ideas."

Clark also fueled rumors the Feel hitmaker would reunite with his former Take That bandmates. "They are all great friends again," he said. "Whether Robbie pops up at Wembley Stadium is up to him. But he is not going to become a full-time member."
