Everyday in the the next month I will post here something special for you!
I hope you will like it!! we start on the first day of december!!

Last day was the 1. advent. So here the first candle and I wish you all a great start in the new month.

A time to reshape souls and roots and skies,

Freely, like a rich and lavish sun,
Like a burning star to those whose lonely sighs
Show need of such a time for love and fun.

For children first, whose pain is never done,
Whose bright white fire of anguish never dies,
It's time to give your heart to every one,

That not one angel fall, to hatred won
For lack of ears to listen to her cries,
Or arms to carry him towards love and fun,

Or friends to care what happens on the run
To adult life, where joy or sadness lies.

For God loves all, and turns His back on none,
Good or twisted, ignorant or wise.

Falling Snow

See how they fall
An infinity of heavenly aspirations
Come to convert the world
With a deep and even purity.
Sent to nullify and cleanse
To enhance and beautify
To muffle and calm
With the tranquillity
Of a gossamer eiderdown.
To cloak in a mystery
Of endless variations
Of the same tonal theme;
Converting everything
To a glistening coalescence.
Tidying up the farmyard
Smoothing out the fields
Transmogrifying neglected gardens
Into dazzling showpieces,
Cluttered garden sheds
Into sparkling summer-houses,
Making abandoned bean sticks
As elegant as sculptured crystal,
And fondant death-traps
Of old familiar ponds
Enhancing the weary timothy
In the sad neglected churchyard.
Cheering up the stories
On the long forgotten grave stones.
Turning distant spires
Into alabaster space rockets
And drooping telephone lines
Into crystal mooring ropes
For ocean going bungalows.
The purification is complete, unblemished,
Save for the prints of wandering spirits
Fading in the gentle cascade.

Candy Cane Cookiesfence

* 1 cup powdered sugar
* 1/2 cup margarine or butter (room temp)
* 1/2 cup shortening
* 1 egg
* 1-1/2 tsp almond extract
* 1 tsp vanilla
* 2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
* 1 tsp salt
* 1/2 tsp red food coloring
* 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candy
* 1/2 cup sugar


* Heat oven to 375°
* Mix powdered sugar, margarine, shortening, egg, almond extract and vanilla
* Stir in flour and salt
* Divide dough in half
* Tint 1 half with food color
* For each candy cane, shape 1 tsp dough from each part into 4 inch rope. For smooth, even strips, roll back and forth on lightly floured board
* Place 1 red and 1 white strip side by side; press together tightly and twist. Complete cookies 1 at a time
* Place on ungreased cookie sheet
* Curve top down to form handle of cane
* Bake until set and very light brown, about 9 minutes
* Mix the crushed candy and sugar; sprinkle over cookies while hot
* Remove from cookie sheet

Winter, has the charm of life,
Winter, is like my wife.

I always wait for winter like its friend,
the trees in winter always bend, having its branches like the ghosts arms.
they are my always my eye's charms.

A Visit from St. Nicholas

'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.

The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of sugarplums danced in their heads;
And Mama in her kerchief and I in my cap,
Had just settled down for a long winter's nap.

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters, and threw up the sash.

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow,
Gave the luster of midday to objects below,
When what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature sleigh, and eight tiny reindeer.

With a little old driver, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment it must be St. Nick.
More rapid than eagles his reindeer they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name:
"Now, Dasher! Now, Dancer!, Now Prancer and Vixen!
On, Comet! On, Cupid!, On, Donder and Blitzen!
To the top of the porch! To the top of the wall!
Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!"

As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky,
So up to the housetop the reindeer they flew,
With a sleigh full of toys, and St. Nicholas, too.

And then in a twinkling, I heard on the roof,
The prancing of reindeer and pawing of each little hoof.
As I drew in my head, and was turning around,
Down the chimney St. Nicholas came with a bound.

He was dreßed all in fur, from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot.
A bundle of toys he had flung on his back,
And he looked like a peddler just opening his pack.

His eyes - how they twinkled! His dimples - how merry!
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
And the beard on his chin was as white as the snow;

He had a broad face and a little round belly,
That shook when he laughed, like a bowl full of jelly.
He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,
And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself.

A wink of his eye, and a twist of his head,
Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread.

He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And filled all the stockings, then turned with a jerk,
And laying a finger aside of his nose,
And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose;

He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim as he drove out of sight,
"Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!"


I hope Sankt Nicholas has bring nice things and chocolate!! And for us he has bring this:

Christmas Bowsfence

* 2 eggs
* 1 stick margarine or butter, softened
* 1/2 cup sugar
* 2 tsp vanilla
* 2 tsp baking powder
* 2-3 cups flour

* Mix first 5 ingredients together
* By hand, mix in just enough flour until it feels like a nice moist dough
* Roll in 1/2" strips and cut into 2" long pieces
* Form each piece into a bow
* Mix 1 egg yolk and 1 Tbsp milk and brush top of bows, then dip or put sprinkles on top
* Bake 15 minutes in 400° oven

"A Little Bit Of Heaven"
Those little Irish Leprechauns
are known for the Pot o' Gold;
They and they alone do know
the place it is, I'm told.

Instead of dropping coins for us
to lead us so we'd know,
They played a leprechaun's Irish trick
and dropped a ton of snow!
Now how would they like it on their Emerald Isle
if we blew the snow their way?
Not very charitable am I, you say,
on this, St. Paddy's day?
"Oh, a little bit of heaven
fell from out the sky one day"
All white and heavy, packed with ice,
in a divilish-sort of way.
With each and every shovel I lifted,
I heard a tinkling giggle;
The little folk had played their prank
and now out of it, I had to wriggle.
So now the snow is piled high
and the wee folk had their fun,
I see a glint - a golden ray -
just mirrored from the sun.
They're having the last laugh as they go,
all wearing an impish smile;
I'll welcome them again, next year
if they'll come that extra mile.
If I could choose one place on earth,
to visit for a day,
'Twould be the Emerald Isle, for sure -
to hear them sing their way.
They all have voices that float on air,
as sweet as sweet can be;
Tis sure they'd "steal my heart away"
with the beautiful "Rose of Tralee".

The Magic of Winter
Winter and snow is a child's delight - things dreamed of in July;
Sleds and hills, squeals and spills, waving, as the world rushes by.
There is snow on the ground, snow in the air, snow, snow everywhere.
Angels they make in the blanket of white, and tomorrow will remember how
Snowflakes felt on their tiny tongues - like magic to them now.
There is snow on the ground, snow in the air, snow, snow everywhere.
Snow-people are made and all decked out with colours and a happy smile;
Forts are built with utmost care so they will last awhile.
There is snow on the ground, snow in the air, snow, snow everywhere.
Snowballs rolled and piled with glee; tots laughing merrily;
Adults watch, remembering - secrets bubbling free.
There is snow on the ground, snow in the air, snow, snow everywhere.
Skiers fly the well-packed slopes, independence lighting their eyes;
Blending with snow as they descend like magic from the skies.
There is snow on the ground, snow in the air, snow, snow everywhere.
The ice is cleared so skaters glide and maybe spin a dream
Of triple loops and a sharp edge and costumes of gold and cream

Falling Snow

See the pretty snowflakes
Falling from the sky;
On the walk and housetops
Soft and thick they lie.

On the window-ledges
On the branches bare;
Now how fast they gather,
Filling all the air.

Look into the garden,
Where the graß was green;
Covered by the snowflakes,
Not a blade is seen.

Now the bare black bushes
All look soft and white.
Every twig is laden-
What a pretty sight!
